Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

Well, I sent an email to John at Exotic Oddities last Friday, unfortunately I have not heard anything back. I'll try again this Monday, hopefully he replies if not I'll have to continue my search of...

Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

Okay, I'm looking into another option that is taller, somewhere between 18"-20" tall instead of 12".
  3. Re: Why do you not directly mist a Pac Man frog?

It's not generally recommended. While in some places they have strict rules on what is considered spring water, I believe in the US (some states may have stricter or lighter regulations) manufactures...

Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

I should explain things better. I'll be using the same hard plastic lids that come with the totes but I'll put holes in them covered with aluminium wire.

What do you think about using bio active...

Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

There will be a lid over the whole thing, there are cats in the house so it's would be necessary regardless of height.

Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

Alright that gives me some sizes to work with, thank you!

I will definitely take pictures and post them, I really need to put some money towards a decent camera someday. I'll write up a review...

Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

I was thinking that might be the case, right around breeding time.

If I were to order through Exotic Oddities, to meet the minimum I would have to order 10 Oak Toads. Do you think I would be able...

Re: Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

Thank you! I knew I had seen that site before, didn't show in all those Google searches I did :(. The other three sites were all flipper sites, they never actually handle the animals you buy. Where...

Finding the Oak Toad (Bufo quercicus)

Does anyone know where you can find Oak Toads for sale? Out of all the searching I've done I've found 3 sites that list them but have none in-stock, they're also sites that don't have great reviews. ...

    Re: MatthewM1's Picture Thread

I'm cool with tarantulas, but pretty much every other spider makes my skin crawl. I hate going into my garage, and I've had way to many spiders crawl over or up my legs. :nightmare:

    Nice photos! :)
  11. Re: trading alligator snapping turtle to albino ball python

    This.

As for the price I can't say. In my quick search I saw that someone was selling captive born at 2" for $75.

    Re: new trouble catching food

Could you not also use a plug-in dimmer or if you know what you're doing add an inline dimmer? I'm just curious if there is a reason I don't really see that suggested much, I could understand not...

Re: best way to heat up a tank?

What kind of thermometer are you using? Digital w/probe ect.

You'll be measuring air temps so you don't want it close to a heat source. Ideally you'll have 2 digital thermometers setup monitoring...

Re: best way to heat up a tank?

There are 2 ways I see a lot.

1.) Using a night heat bulb or a ceramic heat emitter.
2.) Using a heat pad mounted to the side of the tank.

Both of the options are also controlled by either a...
