Glad it pooped eventually. Just to note it will have every chance to ingest substrate every time it sheds as the substrate can stick to the skin as it is pulled into the mouth and swallowed.

They quite easy to breed. Pretty much the same as other Agalychnis species. Follow directions for breeding Red eye tree frogs.
Unfortunately they were not fertile and they were expelled from the pouch a few weeks later.
Thought so! Thanks for replying. Louder than a whites is very impressive!
Those of you that keep phyllomedusa sauvagii, how loud is thier call? Is it something that would wake you up at night?!
Sorry my bad, I didn't specify. It has to be the top of the feet/thumb, a little tricker to photograph!
I'm well aware of that, but there is another way I know that has been pretty reliable for me to sex when not in condition. Every female I have seen (and it is a lot) has the white extend right down...
If you could post a good photo of the inside of the thumbs on the front feet it could help in determining sex.
keep an eye on dartfrog.co.uk as they sometimes have them available.
here sells them RECORP Inc. - The Reptile, Bird, Amphibian, Insect Feeder Company not sure what they are like as never dealt with this company. I'm sure they'll have them at the abbortsford reptile...
I didn't really read through it fully to check the info but there is a care sheet here How to keep and breed your new Surinam toad, Pipa pipa, with pictures. At 3 inch it will be a juvenile. They are...
yep definately carrying eggs! My female was the same when she had eggs, unfortunatley they weren't fertile and they were eventuallly expelled from the pouch. Fingers crossed and good luck with them!...
Looks to me like a rather gravid female Pseudacris regilla which is a native species.
I'd say Leopard frog. It has lighter colour surrounding spots, halo like. Pickerel frogs have squarer spots and not outlined by lighter colour, also they have 2 rows of squarer spots running down...
How long do you have the rain chamber running for? What is the temp and humidity in the rainchamber? Did you cool them down a bit before hand? I usually find adding cold water to the bottom for a...
To me from the photos you have provided I would say you have two females though.
It looks to me which ever is the animal in the photo 2nd in from the right is a female. I've found in all the red eyes I've dealt with the white on the thumb doesn't come down as far on males as it...

We should be receiving 20 of these beautiful frogs at work in the next few months. Can't wait to work with them, been on my wish list to work with for ever!
I have a female with a pouch of eggs!!! They spawned last night. Now just hope they are fertile!
A photo like this. This is a male Agalychnis saltator, though A. callidryas will be the same if the male is in breeding condition. If not it is harder but possible.
Sorry I should have been more specific. Please post photos of the inside of the thumbs from above.
Please post photos of the inside of the thumbs.
Yeh they need the competion from other males calling to breed well. More than one male works best.
If you could post a photo of the inside of the thumbs then I may be able to sex them for you.
