They are great little frogs.
Got a great trio of these at Frog Day. Ive not been able to get many pictures of these as they are like bullets and have had one jump out the viv once when I was feeding...

I got a group of 4 of these lovely frogs off a local breeder a few months back and hadnt posted any pics for some reason.
They are a lovely species, bright, voracious feeders and extremely bold.

I would say that as a beginner I wouldn't mix species at all and keep one species per tank.
I personally dont mix any species at all but thats a personal choice.
I would say vanzolinis are not a...

Other things you can try are chopped up or small earthworms - when i had FBTs they loved them. Whiteworms and occasional waxworms or bloodworms good too. I used a shallow terracotta dish for the...
Do you know what flies you are feeding? you could try breeding stunted flies if they are still not interested in normal melanogaster. To make stunted flies just add more flies or less culture medium...
The mite paper is much better than the sprays in my experience anyway although Ive never used that particular spray before.
Its a real struggle to get the paper in the UK too. I did find this US...

50/50 coir (same as coco fibre) and orchid bark
You should get both from any pet shop that stocks phibs/reptiles - I use a 50/50 mix of both
Just to add to what vince has said I also raise my springs on coir/orchid bark. Lots of people do raise them just on pieces of lumpwood charcoal. To get them off the charcoal pieces just wash them...
Thought I'd post an update of this fella - really growing fast (apologies for the quality and water stains on the glass!):
