Wow thanks! That's about $100 in ABG though, not cheap. Good thing I'm not planning on getting frogs for awhile haha. Guess my little brother is getting a good present when I go away for college :p

Hey all,
I have a 120 gallon aquarium that I have been trying to set up for dart frogs and am wondering how much ABG I need to get a 2-3 inch layer? The measurements are 72 in x 18 in x 24 in...
I wouldn't say there is no need to. In some ways, it couldn't hurt to be safe. It's just like getting any other new frog, you want them quarantined and get them tested to make sure they won't infect...
Bumblebee Toads are a possibility, but they can be expensive captive bred.
Hello and welcome to FF! I know that Joshs Frogs is a great place to buy (I bought 4 poison dart frogs from them and they are doing great!), but they are currently out of stock of Red eyes. You may...
I'll make sure I remember that for next time (as I'm sure there will be!!)!

You're gonna have to hook me up with this dealer of yours! Lol

Thanks! Joshs frogs had an amazing deal for them!

So I finally ended up jumping on a deal and getting 4 Tinctorius 'Powder Blues'! Here is some pictures of them, I should be posting pictures of my tank that I'm building soon as well! [emoji4]...
Update? :)
Beautiful frogs! Can't wait to see these guys get bigger :)

I should also add, when I had my PCF before he/she died, I had only seen it shed once in the 2 years I had it!

How long have you had them for? Most frogs and toads seem to shed about once a month from what I can tell. They also shed at night and eat their sheds, so it is unlikely that you will "catch them in...
Great pictures! What camera do you use if you don't mind me asking? Can't wait to see these guys continue to develop!

Yup [emoji2] It is their defense mechanism. I am a huge insect person and used to keep millipedes. A frog would try to eat them, but it would not want to try it again

Millipedes do not have a toxic bite no. But they do release noxious gases when they feel threatened. The Millipedes won't cause much of a problem to wood, and none to plants since they only eat...
Very nice! I may have to steal that balloon idea 😉

I can't tell you if they are Leopard frogs or not because I'm honestly not sure. What I can do is tell you the basic care until you figure out for sure what they are.
For food when they are that...
Updates?!?! Don't leave us in suspense anymore! frogsmile
No problem, most smaller stores tend to mix the species as they don't have as much space. The only times that species of dart frogs are mixed, they are put into huge vivariums and I have seen people...
It is a bad idea to mix ANY animal in a small enclosure. With something that small it is almost impossible, different species can fight and hurt each other. The best thing to do is to keep them in...
As everyone else has stated, you could use a backup that is used for computers if the power went out. If you had to transport it, I would make sure it is in a secure container where it won't bounce...
Those shelving units are amazing! We have 3 of them for our garage... I would get one for my room, but the 120 gallon aquarium I have in there is taking up too much space lol.
