  1. Re: Red Eyed Tree Frog Feeding Crickets On String

Certainly interesting. One of the reasons why I like the classroom snake much more then the bearded dragon. Feeding is so much easier when the freezer is involved.

I feed my frogs mice from...

    Re: Frog Eye Problems?

I see the same in my frogs. The boys, especially one of them, have far more dilated pupils then my female. I don't think it's a problem though, the female normally seems aware of the surroundings and...

Re: I love frogs, but I'm not sure what to get.

I think quite a few frogs could work for you. Do consider though that frogs absorb all kinds of agents trough their skin, so handling should be restricted to a bare minimum.

    White's tree frogs...

    Re: WTF's and UV lighting

Well, there's ventilation, one tank has about 1/3 the other has 1/2 of the top as ventilation.

There's ventilation on the front as well.

    Re: WTF's and UV lighting

One tube above the tanks you mean? Right now the top is covered with glass. I would have to remove this.

But basically, you're saying there's now way to use a one light solution.

    WTF's and UV lighting

I've been keeping my WTF's in two tanks of 40 x 40 x 70 cm. I supply them with vitamin D3 through feeding.

I've been thinking of adding UV-lighting in my tanks, but I'm wondering what the best...

    Re: Infection on litoria caerulea

I find it quite easy to make White's Tree Frogs gain weight. Earthworms, crickets, they all work if the temperature in your vivarium is ok.

What is the temperature in your vivarium? Because my...

Re: WTF doesn't eat a lot

Quite sure the frog does eat now. It definitely doesn't soak an exteme amount of time. Frog does seem somewhat shy. During the day they're just lazy... They'll rather wait to eat during the night.

    Re: Dark Green Frog

It could have to do with temperature. Many frogs turn a darker shade when they're (too) cold, although it could also be a sign of disease, diminished well-being or a change in emotional state.

  16. Re: *RESPONSES NEEDED* What to do during power outage with no enclosure heat?

In this thread Americans and Canadians recommend blankets, hot water (if gas is still available) and heat packs.

  18. Re: *RESPONSES NEEDED* What to do during power outage with no enclosure heat?

I was thinking an UPS would be the solution too, but in my calculations I run short. UPS's are meant to give a pc user the time to save data and shut down during a blackout and as far as I know, the...

Re: Substrate for plants with darts

That depends on the plants you want to grow. There's little to no nutrition in the bottom and if I'm not mistaking sphaghnum moss will give a slightly acidic soil.
