I have looked at these and didnt buy them for 2 main reasons.
1. Hoods are not desined with frogs in mind but fish and are not escape proof
2. It does nothing to help keep humidity in the tanks.

Loving this bill! When do the frogs move in?
You could house 4 R. Vents in there easily. They do great in groups. I'll have a whole mess of them available in about 4 weeks. Shoot me a PM and we can work out a price that includes shipping so...
As long as the area stays moist and gets light the moss will grow

I soak my wood then bake in the oven at 225f for an hour. I keep an eye on the wood, but with it being wet the chances of it drying and bursting into flames is really low.
Looking good! for lighting you could use a 9w jungle dawn LED. NeHerp sells them at really good prices.
They look great! Sorry to hear about the other 2. Hopefully Josh takes good care of you and gets you some healthy replacements.
This makes me wonder a bit more about JF lately. Their site use to...
I have used their moss slurry and Like it, just takes time for it to grow in. I am testing out my own moss slurry right now, but I am not ready to sell any just yet.
ABG mix is the standard soil for Dart frogs. I mix my own version of ABG that you can buy from my website (www.hashtagfrogs.com). We call ours "Dirt Bag". Other hobby sites have their own version of...
You can technically QT them in anything, but with 4 of them a 10g tank is probably best. I personally dont use moss in my QT tanks. I use white unprinted paper towels laid out flat on the bottom. I...
What is your QT setup like?
You should not remove a tadpole from water that has 4 legs. You should provide it with an easy way to get onto land when it is ready. In the early days after the front legs emrge the tadpole begins...
Yes feed them as soon as you get them in the QT tank. They may not eat right away and that is fine. They will be stressed from their journey.
In case you haven't received frog via mail before. It...
You need to put the egg crate on stilts to place the egg crate above your max waterline. Once that is in place just lay the screen over the egg crate and start adding soil. I also cut my screen to be...
Well I have tried and tried to upload the updated photos but cant. If you go to www.facebook.com/hashtagfrogs and look in the Blue Jean Photo Album you can see them there.
Great news!
The water being brown is from the tanins it picked up from mixing with the soil and is perfectly natural :) no need to drain it all the way if you dont want.
Good news about the soil!
Like Viv in th emist said you can do it either way. To me the hardest part of doing the FB method is working on the transition from the land to the water. VitM is great at this as well as Derranged...
If I was closer I would be over in a heart beat. First time I am in your neck of the woods I will be coming over to clean you out!
I use Sera Micron and fish flakes for all my tadpoles.
I personally wouldnt use food coloring in my frog tank. A False Bottom style tank doesnt require drainage material to be down in the water area. The LDL stuff you are using from JF is meant more for...
I also do a thin layer of silicone behind the foam I use. The yellow foam sticks to glass much better than the black foam too, but a layer of silicone will help ensure it stays attached long term.
I will try to post a pic tomorrow. The forum is very frustrating for me to use lately so I have just avoided it, but will see what I can make happen tomorrow afternoon.
Nematodes are brownish in color like heather said and are typically not harmful to frogs, but will decimate your micro fauna population. Only way to get rid of them is to tear the tank apart, toss...
I would say look at getting 2 - 3 thumbnail frogs for the 10g vertical. The plants Amy suggested will work great. You can also mount a couple small Bromiliads to the back wall away from the drip wall...
