Is a day bulb necessary? My current setup up only has the infrared bulb.
I would place the heat mat on the sides of the tank. And as for lighting, you should be okay with leaving the light on during the day as long as you have a few hiding spots for the frog.
Do you...
Tubby looks awesome! Welcome to the forum!
Your temp might be too low, I have read that they like it around 78-82 degrees Fahrenheit
Haha it's like we said, all a learning process! I just want this frog to have a great life.
Lol but I love every minute of it! Funny how I was just telling my friends that exact thing. No matter how much research you do..it will never prepare you to actually hold a frog in your hand lolol
Bio active plus spot clean his waste lol....it's a learning process!

Hey Kirstein, what I've been reading and researching about pacs is that they burrow under to cool down. So I would suggest placing the heater on the side of the tank or back side.
Hey thanks for the reply Jason! I asked this question because I bought the zoo med led with uvb t5ho and didn't know if I wasted my money or not. Lol.
So I should be okay with the uvb on? I have...
Just as the title states, is uvb lighting required for pacmans? TIA!
I'm in the same boat...brought him home yesterday and he ate 1.5 nightcrawlers. I tried again today and he only ate 1 piece. I think they have to adjust to their new environment, so I wouldn't be...
Any updates on this op?
Sorry to thread jack, but would a 20 gallon tank (tall) be too big for a baby bullfrog??
