frogs don't have strong emotions, so it's unlikely that the death of one frog would affect your other frog like this. your frog is probably sick, maybe from what happened to your first frog. try...
hello! I'm looking for one frog of the taxonomic name kaloula pulchra, aka chubby frog, bubble frog, Asian painted bullfrog or banded bullfrog. I live in nyc and would prefer to buy in person...
hi! females don't usually exceed 5 inches snout to vent, and males are pretty much always 2-3 inches snout to vent at full growth. 3 for a 30 gallon seems fine to me, but some may disagree. it...
hello all! this might seem like a stupid question. my terrarium (empty of herps) currently has a coconut husk substrate. I was thinking of using that as the base for a moss carpet. would moss be ok...
I don't know where you might find one, but if you're planning on breeding them, here's a head up - gray tree frogs (h. versicolor) and cope's gray tree frogs (h. chrysoscelis) are virtually...
maybe a white's tree frog? (litoria caerulea) it's kind of hard to see, do you have a better quality picture? maybe take the frog out of the substrate?

looking for healthy, preferably juvenile WTF in nyc area. any color/phase/morph. if you have a frog like this or just know of a place that sells frogs (not online/by mail), please let me know. if you...
has anyone used black soldier flies as an alternative to crickets for WTFs? they wouldn't be the only food source, but they might be the main one if they're ok for the frog. thanks!
sorry if you've seen this on other forums!
I'm thinking of covering the bottom of my WTF tank with water. just an inch or so, and dechlorinated water, with places for them to sit and climb and...
it's possible the cause was being fed the wrong food. there isn't really much you can do, but just for the comfort of the frog and the safety of the fish, I'd recommend quarantining it. don't feed it...
you should probably quarantine the animals before you pair them. sorry about your loss!

I was planning on doing the cycling where I put fish food in a sock and let that rot a bit. is that ok? and do the vibrations from the filter hurt the frogs? thanks.
thanks for all the responses. if all goes well, I'll be setting up the aquarium this week or so. One last thing - do I need a filter or can I just clean it out every few days? also, what sort of...

I know African clawed frogs have very delicate skin. should I only use super smooth decorations and hiding places? also, someone (I forget who, I'm really sorry) on this forum told me to use sand...
this is all I can find since I don't have toad experience. good luck!

shops that sell for lab work on animals usually have a higher likelihood of live and healthy delivery. I don't know of any that sell specifically Budgett's frogs, but if you search "live specimen...
I don't have any personal experience with pacmen (now I'm imagining pacman frogs running around in business suits) but a frog blog I check out sometimes is entirely devoted to a smol frog named...
that totally sucks. I'm so sorry for your loss. don't feel guilty, + if the frog was already sick it was probably beyond your capability to help, and at least the frog isn't in pain anymore. rest in...
