Update! Treehouse is huge! He is still eating great but slowed down to about every other day. He doesnt like nightcrawlers anymore either. So he is currently eating large dusted dubias, and crickets...
Should be alright. The coconut fiber passes through pretty decently. Just keep an eye out.

82-84 during the day with a 5ish degree drop at night. The night drop should bring him out as they are nocturnal. After the temp drop he may raise his head out of the dirt, thats when you feed him....
Wow nice!

Ok. Husbandry is off in several areas.
1. 5 gallon is okay but still may be too big. Cover three sides of the enclosure, maybe even four sides until your frog destresses. I wouldnt move enclosures...
Fill these out, and we will try and get to the bottom of it. Im thinking could be neurological, or may be super stressed. A picture would definitely help.

Got a picture? From the description sounds like skin from a shed.

Word of advice.... Dont vitamin dust the worms. It will turn them into slimy goo. I use gutloaded insects for vitamin dust days.
Todays pics after feeding when I was changing his water bowl. Best I can do lol.

Thinking about making my own worm and dubia colonies. Not sure if that will fly with the wife though. The bugs I ordered came in today. 50 large dubias, and some horn worms. Night crawlers are about...
My guess is male. Have you heard any calling?
Calcium d3 dust twice a week, and vitamin dust once a week skip a day in between. Feed all that he can eat in 15 mins daily as a juvinile.
Nailed it! He just throws his mouth blindly until some ends up in it. Not accurate at all.
I really like exoterra tanks. I had a male cranwelli in an 18x18x12 exoterra and ended up downgrading to a 12x12x12 because he never moved. He did well in both enclosures. Hornworms are a treat food....
He is an awsome dude. Way more active than the pacman frogs I used to keep. He is eating between 4 and 6 nightcrawlers daily. Ima pick up some more dubias tomorrow. He goes ballistic when he hunts...
Waterlogged might be a better term than squishy come to think of it. =)
Squishy like all water filled is usually a sign of toxing out. When the frogs are toxing out they will take on more water in a bid to flush out thier system resulting in a sort of squishy feeling....
Enclosure upgrade #1. Treehouse was quickly outgrowing his 12x12x12. I bought a 24x18x12 exoterra. I sealed 3/4 of the top with sized cardboard wrapped in a ziplock back with ducktape. Dude eats his...
I dont think anything is wrong at the moment. If you keep stressing though, and moving the frog from enclosure to enclosure the frog will stop eating from stress. Just releax and stay on your current...
Like filled with water or air. I take it air. Get something to monitor heat and humidity. Days temps should be around 82ish with a 4 or 5 degree temp drop at night. These frogs will change color as...
Is the bloatedness squishy to touch?
Great news!
