sorry, i should have made it clear in the op that i mostly rescue *
awesome thanks! i’m super overwhelmed with homework rn, i’m not ignoring you haha.
i really appreciate the offer to buy a frog! although that would be awesome, i usually keep a rescue-only policy...
Thank you! yeah it's gotta be cold up there, it's like 50-60 here and I feel frozen!
not sure how frog forum PMs work (if they deliver in the site or to the recipient's email) but looking forward...
alright I promise I'm not a hoarder (3 Wanted posts in as many months!) but I recently moved my White's into a humongous tank and she needs a buddy. Maybe a slim chance here so I'm also looking on...
yeah that’s a good idea. and agh i hate that the thanks button won’t work!! :(
Anyone have an adult marine toad in the Houston area? Male or female. Thanks!
same, I miss the good old days :/ someone should make a thread on ways to make the forum more popular again, want me to do that?
it needs some TLC and a very clean environment to keep out infection. there's really not any way to splint a frog's leg (I've tried) so just keep an eye on it, maybe readjust it if it's in a...
would like an older one b/c it’s a first pet for a younger family member so it won’t live 20 years if it turns out to not be a good fit. no tail is preferable because family members are squeamish...
in my experience he’ll be just fine! if you wanna do him a favor maybe leave him a dish of dechlorinated/distilled water if you don’t decide to keep him :)
i’m in the houston area. there are green tree frogs everywhere here. i have a pet green tree frog i rescued that was originally from a big chain pet store, you know the type. since he’s probably wild...
may be a tumor or some other growth, may be impaction since it’s more noticeable after feeding. both could be intensified by the (quite impressive) age of the frog. i would see a vet if possible....
good to have you back! glad frog is doing well. :)
every 2-3 days should be good for short term, while trying to get it to eat on its own every day. however if it doesn’t eat on its own for over a month i’d go to a vet if possible
did the frog eat a leaf or plant from the habitat? have you tried force feeding?

i have a juvenile white’s tree frog (4-5 months old) that seems sick. he’s originally from a petco(i know, i know, but i got him from a person who couldn’t keep him) and i’ve had him maybe two...
I started misting him more regularly and it cleared up, but I think he had some sort of brain damage from being stepped on and he started declining pretty rapidly and passed yesterday. RIP Stanley...
He had a pretty bad episode and stopped breathing for a few seconds today. I’m starting to suspect some sort of respiratory infection. What’s the best way to go about treating him?
awesome!:)
awwww she’s adorable! i’ve had plenty of toads in the wild with eyes like that. it doesn’t seem to harm them though it does impair their vision to varying degrees. as long as it doesn’t get any worse...
the links did work! as long as those don’t keep coming, i wouldn’t worry about it- most likely mouse leftovers. maybe do a water change and a dewormer though just to be sure. how’s squiggles?
One of my rescue toads wheezes a little sometimes. It’s just for a few seconds and it honestly looks like a mini asthma attack. He’s fine afterwards. He’s a rescue and I believe he was stepped on in...
poor frog! I'd take him to a vet. there are just too many appetite-loss-causing things to risk guessing wrong. :( hope he gets better!
Oh yeah bullfrogs are hungry bois lol
