Hello frogforum, here's a quick update on my old pacman frog who turns twenty-six this year! He just woke up from his winter hibernation (buried since last October as usual) and ate a few worms,...
Over winter I don't have to do too much apart from maintain the water level. There is a healthy population of worms in the substrate that do a great job of aerating it and cleaning up any dead...
Thanks! He had five small night-crawlers (all at once in one gulp!). Unfortunately I didn't record it, I wasn't sure if he was going to eat and I didn't want to disturb his first meal too much. I...
My old Pacman just came out of hibernation (buried since October 2015) and ate his first meal of 2016. This is the 25th year that I've had him! surprisedfrog

My old pacman just woke up from his winter hibernation, he's been buried since last November. I thought I'd try him with a mouse to start off the 2015 eating season. This is the 24th year that I've...
The water is about 5" deep right now, and can be varied by +/- 2" to simulate wet/dry seasons. The pump is a Hagen Powerhead 402, which has an adjustable flow rate (it's at maximum in this video). ...
Here's a video of my old (got him in 1991) pacman having a swim in his freshly refurbished home. I just moved him from a 27-gallon to this 33-gallon. This is the same land/water configuration...
This is not my photo (and hopefully not a repost!), but I thought my frog friends might appreciate it. frogsmile

The castings I use are store bought and I initially got them for the plants. These castings contained some leftover worms/eggs and now I have a small worm colony living in my viv. The worms do a...
I use castings mixed 50/50 with coco fibre as the substrate in my vivs. The plants and frogs all seem to love it!
Hello Yaotl!
Wow, nice frogs! I love the mutant's colours!
Hmm, "for now" means specifically just this weekend, correct? :p
Nice to see another old timer around! I've had my pacman since the summer of 1991, purchased as a tiny froglet from a local pet store. He has probably spent about 10 years of his life completely...
What, no pictures? :p
Very nice Cranwelli, she's lovely!
Thanks, I really like the red on him/her, quite vibrant!
Hah, it's true... very overdue!
I just got these three baby Pacmans (Pacmen?) from a local reptile show. An Ornate, Cranwelli and Samurai Blue ('B' grade). They have all settled in nicely and are eating well. :D

He has definitely 'ripened' and lost his green over the years, most notably the strip behind his ears.
Wow, they are incredible!
Haha, exactly. He was back in his normal spot this morning, just in a slightly different position than yesterday. I've noticed this repositioning before, now it all makes sense!
Last night around 11:30pm I was making some tea and I heard a 'clink clink clink' sound coming from my pacman's vivarium. I went to investigate only to find my frog in the water having a swim, the...
FWIW I have fed my pacman wild caught worms, insects, and small animals my cats killed (birds, mice and even baby rats). I have had this frog for over 22 years now :p
HAHA! That is an awesome name for him! :D
I figured out why my frog does this! It is only if I don't let go of the food fast enough after he has grabbed it. In this video I was using tongs/hemostats that you have to 'unclick' to release...
Pet Boutique in North Vancouver had a juvenile for sale when I was in there a few weeks ago.
