My FBT died on Monday, aged 26!

    Hi
I last wrote about my 2 firebellies on here in 2011. I just logged on to check the date. At the time of writing my two FBs were 18 and 19.
The younger one passed away 2 years ago.
    The older...

    Re: Fire Bellied Toad Age

    Hi Samantha
As you can see from the date, I did that post 2 years ago, but both my toads are still going strong! I know for sure the date I got my first, from a pet shop, as I was in my second year...

I wanted to show you Kitty, but thought maybe that's going a bit too far on a frog forum website, so I sneakily added her in after a pic of my garden toad, who lives on top of a...

    Re: fire belly toads dying

You know how, when you have cats it's so easy to keep going on about them to other people who have them? Well, we seem to have taken over a frog forum thread!
In answer to your question, I kept the...

    Re: fire belly toads dying

Sorry late in seeing your post! Your Kitty sounds like well loved. 2 of mine were ferals, so they had a problem coming in! Took some persuasion. The third little girl was dumped, pregnant, on the...

    Re: fire belly toads dying

Wow, I've got 3 strays myself! They all turned up at different times & sort of get on with each other.
I have a tame wild toad, he's really big & lives in a plant pot in the garden, but he's...

Thanks, but I think I'm just keeping it simple. They just eat worms. I've never given them any supplements / minerals although they do get a bit of dirt from the worm now & again.:)

    Re: fire belly toads dying

I can remember the day I got my first FB, he was in a tank of salamanders & the shop owner didn't know he was there! I was at college, 20 years ago. I got another to keep him company the same year,...

    Re: fire belly toads dying

I feed mine earthworms, placing them on a flat rock (the worms that is) so they don't wriggle away too quickly. My tank base is bark & compost covered with moss. My FB's are 20 years old & eat about...

    Re: Fire Bellied Toad Age

I got one of my fb's 19 years ago, and his mate a year later. They live in an unheated tank with moss, rocks & 2 ponds (1 each). They don't hibernate & I have always fed them small earthworms. I...

Re: Hi from me & my firebellies!

Here is the oldest, sitting on the rock waiting for a worm. I must apologise for their unimaginative names. This one is Toady, and his mate (you can just see his head in the background) is Froggy....

Hi from me & my firebellies!

    Hi
I have 2 firebellies. I have had one of them for 19 years, and the second for 18 years. The first was rescued from a petshop, where he was being squashed by a load of salamanders. The shop owner...
