I've heard that grapevine will take root and sprout in a viv and grow through the seams, might not be the effect you are looking for.

Actually I'm going to leave this open to offers. No reasonable offer will be refused. Payment will be handled by paypal and shipping via USPS.
You can make them using poly rope, brown or black silicone and peat. Just take some rope, cut in to length, slather silicone on it and then roll it in some milled peat. after you hang to dry for a...
How did you do the faux rock background on this one?
I have one of these fixtures up for grabs. The unit has only been used to test to see if it works properly. Pretty awesome fixture with moonlights, lightning effects cloud cover and has sunrise,...

I'm stepping away from the hobby for a while due to financial issues and need to find new homes for a few of my frogs.

I really do hate that I have to let them go but I have to.
...
You want to keep it pretty moist until it grows. I have an automatic mister set to spray for 15 sec each day and I get good results

I find that air flow helps too
What I like to do is take several varieties Kyoto, aquatic, sheet etc, pop them in a blender with some distilled water and the spread the slurry all over. I usually get pretty good growth with this...
I will also like to add that the E. Anthonyi group I have now were my first darts and I raised them from tadpoles and now have a good sized breeding group.
I also have 15 or so E. Anthonyi tadpoles available. These are great beginner dart frogs, easy to maintain, appreciate a semi, semi aquatic setup and are prolific breeders.
I'm asking $15 each...
I have a small group 1.0.1 possibly 1.0.2 group of R. Vanzolinii. Lots of calling but no breeding yet. They are feeding on dusted melanos and occasionally hydei. I always supplement with Repashy...
Both setups will work for either of the two but IMO the horizontal will be better for the luecs to give them more ground space. Both luecs and varadero would use all of the space provided.
Springtails and isopods will consume mold and fungus and will provide a great snack for your toads.
OK so I sold the Currents and here is the 56 illuminated by two 50w LED spot lights. I really like the look. Also I don't have to deal with a mess of wires anymore. ...
I'm moving to 50w LED floodlights. They are not the prettiest, but they are simple and provide pretty good lighting for the price.
Thanks!
Pretty well, but I sold the Satellites and going with another LED solution.
Yea I know, I probably could have gotten 1 really great fixture for that amount but I started with two and added the extra fixtures over a couple of months. I'm satisfied now.
$300.
Thanks!!! I have four 24" Satellite + over it now and the plants and moss is starting to grow well.
Thanks. Maybe I'll enter it again in the contest at the end of the month. Trying to get a bit...

No need to spend a lot of money on a bulb at the pet store. You can get a CFL at Wally World for under $10. Look for daylight or cool white.
Yea you can't go wrong with different shades of green! I wish my tank was a lot more green, the creeping charlie just isn't growing like I want it to.
Awesome tank though Bill! The growth is...
The brown leaves you are referring to is leaf litter. It's beneficial to dart frogs and other tropical or semi-tropical frog enclosures because it provides shelter and habitat and food for...
