Rough skinned newts have one of the strongest toxins in the newt world. I wouldn't risk it. A rough skinned newt can even take down a bullfrog. I think it's best to keep them separate.

Did some research, they're almost the same as any other frog/toad. They need humidity since they come from South America. They grow to 9 inches, can eat crickets and sometimes small mice.
Title says it all. I'm look for some safe plants that I can grow in my toad's tank. It is a canadian toad if it matters.
