Thanks Viper! It's probably going to take a few years to get even the Ontario frogs, some travelling at the right times will be required for a few of them. I too would love to get the rest of our reptiles and amphibians photographed. Sadly most of my progress this year in that direction is on road-kill snakes.

I'd love to see your collection of native photos- it's always a treat to see the frogs from around the world. Best of luck with your remaining species!
  2. Martin, its no problem! I just got back from a camping trip myself. Its great to hear that your frogs are doing good! My frog has been doing great himself and is getting ready for breeding soon
  3. Hey Martin! How are your Red eyed tree frogs doing?! Ha, Its been a while hasn't it?!

    Absolutely adorable! = )

Congrats on the hatchling! It's crazy cool that these guys are parthogenic.

Very Cool = ) Thanks for the info! Just don't see too many of these guys floating around. I've switched my focus from geckos to snakes over the years, but have always contemplated adding an additional gecko display to those I have for my Rhacs. I was pretty set on Lygodactylus williamsi, but now you've got me considering additional options, haha!
  6. Chat? I have about 20-30 minutes.
  7. Hey Martin, Sorry about that, I actually havle like 6 PM's from Friday, I've just been really busy this entire weekend. If I can get my work done, I'll for sure meet you in Chat!

Tackar! Jo det börjar ta sig iaf. Men mossan växer vääääldigt långsamt.

She doesn't swim around as much as my regular frogs and I keep her in only about 8 inches of water....I will try and get a video of her eating her favorite treat - bloodworms!

A quest for red eyes - PART 2

by ViperJr on July 30th, 2011 at 12:52 PM

Now, there were just some minor details. Timers, dimmers, electrical extension cords etc. I also bought a Exo-Terra compact bulb and a moon night bulb. I payed about about 500 kr / 80 USD for this.
Now, when everything was done, it was time to start adjusting temperature and humidity. Living in the artic Sweden, this turned out to be quite troublesome. No matter how much I used the ReptiFogger, the moist was never contained inside the

A quest for red eyes - PART 1

by ViperJr on July 30th, 2011 at 10:20 AM
September, two thousand and ten. A harsh, rainy day at the dawn of fall. The pre-phase was completed. The preparations were in order. The research had been done. The care sheet were read, all of them. The time had come to start building a terrarium. A terrarium for the most fascinating, most beautiful and most awesomely epic of all frogs. A terrarium for Agalychnis callidryas. A terrarium, nay, a home, for some Red-eyed tree frogs.
The tank were build and the frogs lived happily ever after,
