Can someone help me with my dwarf african frogs?

Rate this Entry
I currently have a 20 gallon long aquarium which is housing 6 African dwarf frogs, 4 amano shrimp, 4 cherry red shrimp, and 5 nertite snails. I have a bare bottom tank, 2 pieces of driftwood with anubias attached, a Tetra whisper 20 running, and other places in which the frogs and shrimp can hide. Everyday I have to clean the bottom of the tank and replace at least 3 gallons of dechlorinated water and this sometimes occurs twice a day. I also have to replace the whisper filter pad every other day. The water parameters are tested and the ppm's are all within normal readings along with the pH being fine. I have not lost any of my buddies but what I can't understand is why I have to clean the tank so much, why I have to go through filters so many times and why, in general is the tank causing me so much work. If there is any input from anyone who can tell me what I am doing wrong let me know because I am perplexed about this. I am not new at this so I don't quite understand what I am missing.
