Hey, so this year (2016) I decided I wanted to create my first vivarium for dart frogs.
Throughout the multi-month process I have been taking pictures because I wanted to create a post about the whole process and what I used with hope that I could help other beginners
who are interested in creating a vivarium. I felt that in my many months of preceding research I couldn't find a post that had enough information or that showed the process from start to
finish, so I hope that this will help anybody who was in my position looking for a simple guide and explanation. If you are interested in keeping dart frogs as pets, I will first warn you that it is
a large commitment with both money and time. The reason I chose to invest in this hobby is because I have always loved frogs and I love gardening. Vivarium's combine the two well and make
it easy for me to be enthusiastic about the whole process and not just the outcome.

Before I began buying and constructing a vivarium I had been researching for months to figure out how I could
build something beautiful and quality at a cheap price. I also had been collecting random things a year in an advance with hope that I would
build I vivarium, such as the drift wood I took home from the beach last year.
The first thing you will learn if you want to do the same and don't have hundreds
to throw into one vivarium is that Pet-Co is almost always the expensive choice. For example, pet co will give you a chunk of drift wood for $20 while I collected them for free.
I was lucky to get my actual
glass container half of for only $20 which was awesome but otherwise, I couldn't find a good deal for
what I needed without spending all of the earnings from my minimum-wage job. I will continue to update the process with all of the fails and successes and you can see the whole process of my first vivarium.
