In preparation for leaving on vacation tomorrow, I decided to add some springtails to the dart vivs so there will be some added eats in the tanks.

In doing so, my Leucs tank, which is always at a pretty damp state, ended up flooding out from the pouring in of the springtails. Oh no, this is going to be a mess I thought.

I ended up moving some of the substrate and cutting away some screen, then adding a small pond feature to allow for siphoning of the excess water. Wahoo, ...

Well, in preparation to leave for a 9 day vacation, I decided to move the Dendrobates tinctorius – Bakhuis Mountain into the new 20 vertical. Wow, was that so easy.

They pretty much hopped right into the culture cup I used and then climbed right out into the new viv. They explored and climbed and settled right in. Amazing.

Along with that I finally got my eye exam done, new glasses, and new contacts.... wow I feel like a new person :-)

So I bolt over to the pet store to see what cork they have in stock and during the ride home a few minutes ago, a stinkin' bee flies in the window of the car and proceeds to sting me in the back..... I grabbed it and lucky me has it sting me in the hand between the thumb and index finger...... oh it hurts and I can't get the After-Bite on my back. Man that sucks.

Looks like its swelled to the size of a baseball.
