Great advice, friendly people, and lots of frogs!
Azureus Viv Background Close Up 2
What type of plant is that? Also, how did you get it to grow as your background in your viv? It looks awesome, and I am thinking about doing the same thing in my frog tank.
That is a mixture of selaginella kraussiana (paler green spike moss) and ficus pumila quercifolia (oak leafed ficus). At the time of this photo, they were fighting it out for control of the background and the ficus won. The selaginella grows better on horizontal surfaces and is doing well where the ficus can't get above it. I started with small cuttings of both. They get a slow start, but once they establish root systems, they grow like mad as long as they are in a humid viv with lots of light (two 26-watt daylight cfl bulbs work fine in a 20 to 30 gal viv.
