Great advice, friendly people, and lots of frogs!
Acris crepitans2
I see these guys all the time. A thought struck me the other day while I was driving home from herping in southeast Oklahoma for Hyla avivoca - Cricket frogs are the American equivalent of Oriental Fire-bellied Toads - they are everywhere, look similar, and I believe they occupy a similar niche.
They are extremely common here for sure. In my experience, they are third in line of Anuran commonality in this part of Nebraska after Pseudacris triseriata and Bufo cognatus. It appears there is a high number of Rana pipiens also, however my current survey notes have not confirmed this with definition yet. I wish I could find a few of the green forms of this species around here.
