40 US gallon breeder aquarium converted into a terrarium for the Golden Poison frog, Phyllobates terribilis. The dimensions of the terrarium are (LxWxH) 36x18x16 inches. The lighting is 2 HO-T5 tubes in a 78W fixture. The terrarium is heated by a hydor heating cable monitored by a thermostat. There is a mistking system with 4 nozzles. There is an eggcrate false bottom hidden by a wall of gravel on both sides and the front. The background is tree fern panels with some cork bark pieces. The large piece of wood in the middle of the terrarium is a piece of Malaysian Driftwood. The leaves are Live Oak.

  1. I know this is old, but thank you so much for including tank stats/info in the description. I've been lost in my search for finding a precise example of a working setup. I'm convinced P. terribilis is the best choice for my first PDF and now I have a starting point for creating a great vivarium. Thanks again!
