Great advice, friendly people, and lots of frogs!
First 'wild' Grey Treefrog seen this year! Heard the odd one calling the past three weeks, and tons calling today (first big rainfall). This guy was sitting quietly on a bench though.
Looks like a female. The calls you're hearing, which species are they?
I was guessing this was a male from its throat sack which was very saggy and its size, which would make it a small female if fully grown. Neither trait visible here, nor definitive for sexing of course! It was daytime and usually near a person or two, which could explain the lack of calling. It could also be female We have only Hyla versicolors here (according to the maps). All the calls of the Grays sound the same tempo, if I can get near a calling one I'll try to record it (though the cacophony of Peepers will obscure it!)
