   I think this is probably a green frog, Lithobates clamitans, as Kurt told me on another pic.The ridges aren't visible here and I only have this one to go by, but every other picture of a frog like this from my yard has them. My summer project will be to work on identification, which has the added benefit of helping the picture taking .

   Well sheesh I want to live there! Las Vegas has zippo frogs just wandering around (unless you go to the strip, lol) When visiting Sonoma near San Francisco we hear them at night, calling.. hope one day I'll be able to get a photo of one there. Great shot thx for sharing
