   Very nice^^ He's getting big! How old is he? How old do they have to be to start calling? Jr has nuptial pads and will be a year old July, but his "beard" has lightened up.

   Thank you! He is getting to be a big boy! He is five months now. No signs of nuptial pads yet, but he just started calling about three weeks ago. At first his croaks were kind of soft and squeaky; he was like a boy going through a voice change. Now he is a noisy bugger. I can hear him from two rooms away! But it makes me smile every time I hear it. They mature at very different rates. They can reach maturity anywhere from eight to as much as fifteen months. It's funny; the first time Loki called, I was watching one of Ivory Reptiles videos of her frogs calling and he just started calling. You might try playing some videos of pacmans calling and see if it sparks something.
