Gail, soooooo cute !
OMG how adorable !
I caught one about this size here in N AZ. After monsoon season they start coming out (late August). My little guy drew quickly and was seemingly healthy. About October he slowed down eating and from late October forward ate nothing. I assumed he was ready to hibernate. He had about 8 inches of coconut sub-straight and buried himself for weeks at a time. He'd then come up, sit in the water and bury himself again. The temperature in my house is controlled to about 77-78 year around. Some forums say hibernate in a box and put him in the fridge till spring, others say leave him be he'll know what to do. Long story short by February, he died. Seeing yours here, how do you deal with he winter? The toads are back out again and I wold love to have one form this size to T.Toad's size and beyond. Any suggestions? Thanks. Beautiful images by the way - I hope to upload my own collection as well some day.
