I am no plant expert but I believe this usually happens in weaker lighting conditions. I've also heard of it happening randomly too.

i have a ficus fig bellus and on one vine it is growing creeping fig looking leaves.i know it is the same species but is turning into creeping fig because of conditions(temp,humidity)?dont mind if it does start to grow creeping fig,i like the look of it better.just want to know why it is morphing/changing
