    Default Humidity

Recently ive been looking into various opinions about a RETFs humidity. Ive seen many suggestions that are very different. Some say 40% some say 70-80% and a mixture in between. For those of you who have cared and breed them what do you suggest. Right now my tanks sits around 70% give or take a few % before and after misting. The temp in the day time is about 77-82 degrees F and at night 72-75 or so. Wondering if those temps are good?

All seems fine to me. Personally, I just mist mine one day and I don't worry about the humidity.

I have been wondering the same thing. Mine's 34 gallon, 82F during the day, and 72-74F at night. Humidity is about 40% during the day, and right after misting (twice a day) it's 70%, though it drops down quickly. I have a false bottom, but I don't have a water table, coco-peat and some frog moss on top.

Daytime temp should be about 78 degrees. 82 is a bit hot for them. See if you can get it down to at least 80'F. Night time temps are okay, but 72 is a little chilly. Try for 74-76.

Humidity should be 70-80%. 40 is too low and he will get dehydrated.

What kind of heating do you use? Is it on a dimmer?

What kind of tank do you have? And what size? And what is the lid or top like?

I'll see if I can help you out if you can answer these questions. Thanks.

I use a 100w Zoo Med Daylight Blue bulb with UVA (i'm hoping it will help my plants grow) and at night I use a ceramic heat lamp, 60watts and a side heating pad

    I have the Exo Terra Small/Tall (24" high, 18" by 18)
    The whole top is mesh...

    Thank you!
