Are Whites dirtier than other tree frogs. My 2 whites make more of a mess than the 2 red eyes or the 3 greys tree frogs I have.... their live plant terarium always has a very muskey smell to it... and the other frogs pens don't have that smell... do I need more ventelation for the whites... or do they just make a bigger mess than the other frogs. There water dish every morning looks like there was a party in there...
Re: Are Whites dirtier than other tree frogs. I never notice a smell with mine...but maybe if I had other treefrogs I would notice that one does have a stronger smell than the other.
As far as messy...Yeah, I think they are. Mine love to party. All night long I hear them moving around. They love jumping in and out of the water, and they get some of the dirt on them, and then put it in the water. IMO, they're big and clumsy and move a lot.

Re: Are Whites dirtier than other tree frogs. Every morning i would find coco husk all over the glass, clogging the waterfall, and their water dish looked like a mud puddle! It was also kinda hard to remove all the poops...so there was a bit of a smell from the ones i missed on my daily spot cleanings. I recently removed the husk, and replaced it with stone tile. It looks natural and the smell/mess is gone.
