Red Eyed Tree Frog has eye problem!!!

It appears to be a fungal infection. Though I am not certain. You need to have it treated immediately though as it will worsen quickly. He needs to be removed from the tank and put into a hospital tank for treatment and so he will not contaminate the others.

Though your tank is very pretty, it is highly advised against to house all of these different species together. Especially the frogs with the geckos. The frogs cannot compete with the lizards for food and they could be injured. I know this first hand as I rescued a Red-Eyed Leaf Frog from a pet store in which he had several scratches and puncture wounds I had to heal and he has never completely recovered and has to be force fed even still.

The temp is a bit cool for Red-Eyed Leaf Frog's. Can you warm it up a bit?

Anyway, you'll need medication to treat the eye.

Well I think if I put enough food in there they won't have any problem getting some. Where could I take it I'm pretty sure my local vet doesn't know anything about frogs. I can probably get the temperature up the problem I have is te humidity will drop a bit with all the lights on.

Just watch them closely.

I'd call around first. Save yourself the hassles and cost before taking him to someone who is not familiar with frogs. Do you have a local zoo that has amphibians? You could ask them who they use.

You could also ask Ivoryreptiles, flybyferns, and a few others.

Do you mist twice a day? Do you have a hand sprayer?

Yeah, I have a hand sprayer and a mist system that's manually activated it's powered by one of those fertilizer sprayers. I'll use tht once a day and then hand spray it one or two more times depending how the humidity is.

Heather is absolutely right!
It's too cool for RETFs. It should be 78-82 daytime temps.

You need to speak to a vet.
The nose could be an injury ? bite ? it looks infected.
The eye problem really needs to be discussed w/ a vet.
Your frogs need to be moved asap to a hospital tank and out of the constant stress they are being exposed to being enclosed w/ the other critters.
Sorry, it's a very beautiful tank, but the RETFs should not remain in it.

The very most important thing to do first is to remove the frogs !!!

I had one come in having the same problem in both eyes. If not treated it will get much worse very quickly and more than likely lead to death.

The day she came to me.

This was 1 day later.

She died on the 3rd day.

I will agree that it is low but for some reason i cant see it actually being that low. I was thinking about it last night and with how many lights i have on and how little space there is that is not plexiglassed off. I am going to buy a new thermometer today to check. I can tell you though that the only spots that i can really check with the thermometer are the colder spots that are out of light range. I will buy another light today though to toss in the last housing i have open. would you recommend another red light? i can get up to 100w in the last spot.

For the pic 4, the frog is suffering from rostral abrasion. Not a big problem, normally caused by the frog constantly smashing to the tank glass.

First of all, remove it to the hospital tank (just another plastic tank), using paper (black color/ newspaper) to cover all sides of the tank in order to prevent the frog smash the tank again and reduce the stress.

And then pls refer to my previous post for medication...Our Red Eyes' nose....huh?
Of course, in side the hospital tank, you should provide a water dish and using a small box to housing the crickets to monitor it's appetite. If the rostral abrasion is very serious, the frog will stop eating.

You said its from smashing against the glass, it was there when I got him and I am pretty sure he isn't smashing against it now. Only 1 side of the tank is covered in plexi glass and its the side that's most difficult for them to get to and also the one farthest from them. Should I watch it for the next day or so and make sure it doesn't get worse before moving them and possibly stressing them out more?

So all day today the tank was at 80 degrees at about 60-70% humidity with out watering. It was warmer out today too so hopefully that summer is on its way it'll stay warm. I'm going to buy a ceramic heat emitter soon to toss on top. It can't hurt to have it incase

Silver sulfadiazine cream is for human which is a topical antibacterial cream most commonly used for burn wounds. I just bought it from local pharmacy for HK$40 (US$ 5.2).

I am in college and barely work part time as a pizza driver so I haven't had money. Is this silver sulfadiazine what's going to help with the one frogs eye? That's the main problem at hand.

For pic1, separate it from the frogs in pic 4-5, I saw TheFroggyDragon’s post which is terrible. We don’t know what kind of infection? Even thought we can’t heal it or don't have time to find out what is it? don’t let it infect the frogs in pic 4-5, lose 1 better than all.
For pic 4-5, They seem still in acceptable condition now. The main problem is rostral abrasion. You can heal it by using the cream by yourself (not the vet) at low cost. And you should keep eyes on the condition of these two frogs (I mean the eye discoloration problem). Maybe they will be fine later.

Okay. I really don't have anything else to put him in other than the small cricket keeper I have. It's probably a gallon or so.

If that's fine for now what should I put in there with him? Some plant, paper towel? And a light?
