Whites "sucking in" Stomach

If he's all sucked in looking and "yawns" periodically, he's shedding his skin and should wrap up shortly. Frogs also get skinnier when they pee out all the water they soak up.

Well I thought I saw one yawn, but now hes sat on top his waterfall, looks like a little fatty again and sleeping, hes still sort of dull but I dunno, I hope im just being paranoid!

Is his skin all shiny and wet looking?

He also could be digesting. Sometimes crickets and bugs will contort the shape of your frogs tummy. White's change colors too (so I've heard. I've seen them bright green, I've seen them blue, and I saw one that was reallllly dark gray.)

Color change is due to temperature and the color of its surroundings.

These frogs also have the ability to control their body temperature by releasing water through the skin and may explain its "skinny-ness".

They have stayed a nice vivid Green, They have only been turning brown when I wake up and turn the light on, soon as I spray them down they are happy and green again!

Iv only had them 3 days but just now when feeding them, one appears very very skinny, he wasnt this skinny this morning? Then as I fed him and he chowd down on some crickets, the best way I can described it is sucked in his stomach but only on the left hand side, to the point where I could see what a presume to be ribs? He also appears slightly duller than he has been... Is this the beguining of shedding, or something worse? Or am I just being a paranoid newbie?

Hes currently eyeing up more crickets so I wouldnt say hes lost appetite, They did feed on mealworms the first night I had them, (read my post about feeding whites in the feed section) does this make a difference?

If anybody can set my mind at rest please do!

I have observed that after my tree frogs swallow a cricket, they pull or "tighten" in their stomachs muscles to help them swallow their cricket. I am sure you know it is always best NOT to give them too large a cricket.

I wouldn't say iv noticed they're colour change relating to change in temperature, the temperature stays nice and constant just dropping slightly at night.
The crickets are about the same size as the distance between they're eyes, this is what most people agree is the right size.
Had a check on them this morning, all crickets are gone and the water bowl is trashed, so I'm gonna assume they had a fun night
The frog in question doesn't appear more shiney or anything, he appeared extremely dull, but today is back to normal

sounds all good, normal behaviors as alluded to above, shedding, eating, water displacement etc.

frogs are wondrous creatures and can perform some really peculiar behaviors at times, just keep an eye on them and they should be fine.

hope all goes well

also the shedding process more often than not is displayed within the first few days of a new environment, as was the case with most of mine.

it's kinda like them putting their luggage down, relaxing and christening their new homes

Haha, Lynn, you want to see what chubby frogs do, once they have been fed 3 or 4 crickets, they blow up like a balloon, and move their sides around!

my one whites is always changing colour. sometimes hell be a lovely green and then othertimes hell be quite a dark turquoise or even near brown. yet my otherfrog is always the same lovely green colour. i dont think this is anythin to worry about
