Here are a few lazyhead sleepy shots of my new Red-Eyed Leaf Frog named Burn that I just got last week. Took these this morning. Hoping to get some good shots when he's awake, I don't want to pester him too much though during his peak night hours.

Judging by these two pictures, that's a healthy-looking frog
I look forward seeing more pictures.

Thank you. I'm trying my best to keep him happy. Really need to get my hands on a tall terrarium and get him out of that 20gal long I have him in. That's my next step.

Thank you Savannah. Alittle background on his name. My Mississippi Map turtle's name is Crash. Thought it would be fitting that my new pal be named Burn. Also, reference from the movie Hackers.. "Crash Override" and "Acid Burn"

Yes they are. I've always wanted one and I came across a buddy having to get rid of his so I scored this precious guy/gal. I've had him/her for about a week so far. I was told that he/she is about a year old. I have YET to determine its sex I have not heard a call yet, hoping I do hear it some time soon, as I do want a male, male animals appeal to me more I think lol, but if its a girl I'll love her the same of course <3. Isn't there something that tells them apart in their front feet also? Might look for that tonight when I get home from work.

Instead of going crazy on creating threads all over the place I think I'll just keep most of my questions and posts here.

Now I have been researching this "glass bowl cricket feeding" thing and I went to restock on crickets this morning. Just my luck, next door was a dollar store so I picked up a 3 pack of these glass bowls:

Question is, is this bowl suitable for this cricket feeding trick?

I'm not really concerned about him not eating more of the mouth full of substrate, hiding crickets that end up dieing in the habitat and having to search and pick them out.

That looks like a good as any glass bowl, should work like a charm.

About telling them apart from their feet, I'm guessing you're talking about the nupital pads. These are like a dark brown thumb on their front feet which they use in amplexus. Some frogs have these constantly, but red eyes develope them during breeding time, and they then disapear again. So you can't use that right now. Just give it some time and wait for it to call Or get some nice picture in a month or so, when regularly fed, to see if it's quite plumb or not.

    Thank you Heather.

Right now he's in a 20gal long (given to me in that enclosure). He's got alot of greenery and leaves to cruise around on, but I do want to get him into a taller habitat soon. I'll snap some photos of the actual tank and stuff tonight.

    Omar,
Only - males Red Eye Tree frogs 'croak' (or call). Until then ?
Females are larger than males. As I am sure you know.

Thank ya It will be a challenge, as I absolutely hate using flash in my photography, I always prefer having some sort of light source other than a flash.
