They do hide a lot, unfortunately. If you want to see it more I would say give it a good misting every day - this should encourage it to come out. Providing more cover may also make it bolder.

Well, I got a chubby frog not too long ago, and it seems to enjoy hiding and burrowing. A lot. I've heard that they like to hide and everything, but will I ever see it? And is there any way to coax it into being more active? Any help would be appreciated, thank you so much.

..also try putting its food in a shallow dish of some sort so it has to go looking for it!
