Is this toad a native of South Korea? I am unable to match this species with any toad in Korea. The Korean peninsula has 3 species of toad (2 in the south and 1 in the north). The two species in the south are: Korean water toad (Bufo stejnegeri) and Asiatic toad (Bufo gargarizans).

Good catch! I was looking for a toad that is native to Korea. Didn't even think of looking for other Asian species It is also known as Duttaphrynus melanostictus.

Thanks for the clarification. This species range is throughout southern Asia from India to Indonesia.

I Have one of these, she is a large female. She had stowed away in some frieght from India and was brought into local pet shop, so I gave her a new homw with me. Lovely Toad, she isnt afraid at all and often comes out in the evening to watch whats going on, and takes food right out of my hand Only way to get these in the UK at the moment it seems, was looking for a companion for her but no such luck.
