Thread: New Guy here

    Default New Guy here

I recently got a ornate Pacman frog whom I've named Hannibal. He/She is in a substrate of eco earth with some moss and a live plant. I'm actually trying to get him onto nightcrawlers but that's proving to be kind of harder then I thought lol.

I would take the moss out. Could cause impaction. Feed at night, after the 5ish degree tempature drop. Dangle the nightcrawler chunck in front of its face using tongs (plastic tipped tongs can be bad. I use all metal). Ensure the nightcrawler is around 50-75% of the body length, pending the size of the frog. Smaller frog smaller chunk. Cut the nightcrawler from the tail end. 82-84 degrees during the day, and 76-78 at night. Keep around 80% humidity. Calcium d3 dust food twice a week, and vitamin dust once a week. Make sure all water used is treated, and cover three sides of the tank to reduce stress. If you just got the frog it may not eat for up to a week due to its recent move and stress level. Hope this helps.
