Default Been buried for 3 Months..

My Pixie frog has been buried for 3 months until I decided to dig him up today. When I did I found that his whole body is wrapped with dead skin. He won't move. Should I just re-bury him and give it some time? 3 months is a long time without eating, so I'm getting worried

Wait is he dead or? that would be very helpful. I'm not an expert on bullfrogs and I'm sure they bury themselves or somoething and like hibernate or something but it might be dead if it isn't already. My frog recently died. If yours is dead I feel you.

Sorry I wasn't very clear. I dug him up, and just let him sit there, and he tried to rebury himself, so he definitely isn't dead.

water your frog. it is hibernating and should come out of it if he thinks it is rainy season.

so water, water, water your frog. as if it were really rainy.

From what I've read there's no difference in average lifespan of captive African Bullfrogs that do or don't aestivate but there is always a possibility of the frog dying during aestivation or shortly after waking, so I think it's always best to keep the tank moisturised enough to prevent the coating forming and waking frogs with a warm water bath if it does happen.

So I did spray the tank a lot for about 3 days and nothing happened, and yesterday I found that the tank started to smell. So I dug him up, and he wasn't breathing anymore . I really thought that if I just gave him time, he would come out naturally...
