Default Red nocturnal lamp part 3

So I've had trouble heating my tank up to temp during the day (82), so I swapped the 50w red nocturnal for a new 60w and the temp still did not get up above 80. It got upto 78 which is a big increase from the 73 that the 50w gave me, but is still not high enough. It dried the tank out rather a lot also, which had me slightly concerned.
I'm not really sure about trying a larger watt lamp, judging buy the increase I got going from a 50-60, I think it would get my temp up to the low 80's, but it is the drying out of the tank that is then a problem for me......any ideas?

Really strange, I would just use your heat mat under neath part of the tank for the upper temp until summer and then try again then when the room is warmer it can sometimes be a nightmare in winter
