Default Some Questions about my Asian Common Toad

Why does my Asian Common toad always want to escape as I open the lid to clean the tank or just to watch it???? I caught it in wilderness.
And is its excrement poisonous??? because I have seen some superworms die just a few seconds after they unfortunately crawled into it.
And its excrement smell so bad, too

Wild caught animals just don't always adjust to captivity unfortunately or they may take a very long time to do so. Consider attaching backgrounds around the tank and make sure there's plenty available hides so it feels secure. Try not to disturb the toad, especially during the day. At night use a low wattage dark blue or red bulb to view it then for a small period of time but I wouldn't recommended leaving these on all night.

Most toads toads are poisonous, you can see the large glands but I'm not sure of how potent this species is. With toads like marine toads and colorado river toads the poison is very potent and could cause death or psychedelic trips. So if in doubt be cautious. Wash your hands after handling the toad or any equipment and try not to annoy it, some toads may even squirt their toxin at you, so in some causes it may be best to wear glasses and gloves.

Thank you jason, this species is posionous I think coz in my country there are a lot of recorded fatalities due to careless treatment before consuming. Vietnamese people also use these toads as food.
Alright so I will have a day off to adjust the tank a bit
