Default ACF vomiting food a day later

Yesterday I purchased large (live) crickets to feed my beloved Lucius. He ate four of them without a problem up until today. About an hour ago I noticed a lot of commotion and a white cloud in one corner of the tank. It was apparent he threw up 3 of the 4 crickets. He eats reptomin sticks and bloodworms just fine, so I thought it might've been because I fed him too much? Any idea if it's that or something else?

Is this the only time this has happened?

The cricket's exoskeleton is made of chitin which is hard to digest. Clawed frogs normally eat soft bodied prey such as insect larva and worms. It is possible that Lucius just threw up the shell that couldn't be digested. Have you fed him crickets before?

No, this was the first time hes thrown up and the first time hes eaten crickets. Ive fed him a variety of worms in the past with no problem. I only gave him 2 crickets today so ill see what happens.

It is best not to feed ACF's food items with a hard exoskeleton. I feed mine nightcrawlers and have had no problems.
