I've had OZ since he was teeny and he's been eating just fine and growing into a nice young frog. Temp stays around 80 and he's in 18" tall tank.
However on October 29 he developed this strange spot that disappeared overnight.
But it's not completely going away and it's becoming more noticeable again..
I tried to show a picture but it's not letting me because I'm mobile. I'll try to post one up tomorrow.
The spot isn't huge like it was on the first night, and it's behind his ear.
It's white but it isn't a bump, it's flat. The skin around the spot is darker than the rest of his body.

Somehow your post got overlooked. Sorry.
I suggest watching the frog carefully. Make sure it's eating and moving around normally, maybe consider moving it to a quarantine tank if it has tankmates.
Except for the diappearance overnight the spot sounds exactly like a normal wtf freckle so you may be okay.
I did take him in to the local pet store and talked to the reptile/amphibian specialist there. I personally made sure it was her that I met with since I know she owns frogs herself. She said it looked like an ulcer and due to it shrinking and such that I have no reason to worry. I was concerned that it may be fungus so to hear that it's not was a huge relief. Thank you for responding and I'll be sure to keep you updated.

Just a quick note from my experience: As GTF's get older they develop their little freckles. I find mine get dark rings and discolouration around their freckles when they're sleeping/cold but it disappears when they're awake and active. The spots always look more prominent when they're surrounded by that dark colouration, so it could be kind of like an optical illusion rather than the spot actually changing in size.
I hope everything is fantastic and that he stays a healthy little frog for a long time to come!
