My viv has mostly philodendron plants in it, (Pathos, Hope). They are not really growing, do I need to give them a heavy watering every few days or just let them stay somewhat moist from my misting system which keeps the soil (ABG mix) pretty damp most of the time.
What kind of lighting do you use? I have philo in two of my tanks and it grows insanely quick. I use a beamswork 6500k led And highly recommend it!

I have the Joshs Frogs LED. im not sure the k
oh, ya its 6500k spectrum. im using 2 of them in my exo terra copact top, with a head bulb and a compact forescent on the other part of my tank. i have glass under the LED's tho and also the florescent so the humidity is high enough
How long have they been planted? Some philodendron species will take a while to acclimate before they really start growing. Others just grow very very slowly, like philodendron 'wend imbe'.

6 weeks. Do you have to water them every few days or let the daily misting take care of it. I have been watering them every 3 days about which is just giving the base of them a lot more sprays then the normal misting I do on the tank every day
A daily misting normally suffices for them.

Are they yellowing? Wilting? Showing any signs of growth?

One of the branches turned yellow and died. And some of the leaves are a little yellow but most appear to be green and healthy, just not growing really or maybe it is just very slowly. I may just be watering too much.
The plants were planted in ABG mix, and I have some sphagnum moss and leaf litter over that. And the false bottom pebbles under the ABG mix with a substate barrier cloth
I would say you're probably overwatering. I only water the philo planted in the background, the substrate usually stays moist enough with misting that I don't need to water them there. You don't want to swamp your substrate and have rotting issues either.
