Default 20 gallon for 2 WTFs?

I am planning to get a pair of Whites Tree Frogs soon and I'm preparing their vivarium now. They will be in a 10 gallon quarantine tank initially so I can monitor them and teach them to use a feeding bowl, but then they'll be moved to a larger tank. I have a 20 gallon high tank already (dimensions 24 long x 12 wide x 16 tall) but I've read some conflicting information on whether or not this is big enough for their whole lifespan. Some sources say it's fine but others say 25 gallon minimum. Will I have to upgrade later to house the two adults? I don't mind upgrading if needed. I just want to make sure that my frogs are happy!

20 gallons is usually suited towards one whites tree frog. 2-3 can be housed in a 20 gallon temporarily if they are to
get larger quarters in the near future. Ive heard people say anywhere from 55 gallons for one frog to 10 gallons per
frog. When in doubt, go for a larger tank.

I concur, 20 gallons should be a temporary home. For most tree frogs that would be enough, but I believe the "rule of thumb" for whites is 20 gallons plus 10 per frog afterwards. Think about how big they are vs the size of the tank, if you were going to be stuck in a house for the rest of your life you'd want it to be a big one! Bigger is better for frogs.

Also, a 20 gallon is short for white's tree frogs. They like height. Usually, we recommend 24 inches of height at a minimum. The 20 gal can be a temporary quarantine, but if you cant get something bigger in the next 1-2 months, I'd only get one tree frog or wait to get the pair when you can.

I agree with the above. A 20h just isn't good for a pair of white's. You can get away with an 18x18x24 for a pair as long as you don't jam it packed with decor. But bigger is always better for these guys. A 24x18x24 would be ideal for a pair.

Thanks for the input, everyone. I'll use this as an excuse to buy a nice new terrarium!
