My husband I have been raising tadpoles since August. We now have one who is a very young toadlet. He has the tiniest nub for a tail, it's really almost completely gone, so we started introducing pinhead crickets in case he wanted to start eating protein. The crickets are pretty much just crawling in the tank until they eventually drown by the water area, and our toadlet just stares at them. The crickets would crawl on his face too and he would swipe them off with his little arms!
We also tried hand-feeding him bloodworms but he is just not interested. We even tried giving him the lettuce he used to devour as a baby but he wouldn't have any of it.
We're scared that he might starve! We've already lost two toadlets when they were around the same age as this one. We know this stage is extremely fragile, so tips would be very much appreciated!
