Exclamation Toad with possible impaction?? HELP!!!

I have a female American Toad, and I've had her for about 3/4 months now. I went away for two weeks to school and my dad was watching her, and I think that he had been overfeeding her mealworms. Since I've been home for the last two weeks I've only seen her make a bowel movement once, although she may have had another that I hadn't noticed. She's also become EXTREMELY bloated. However, she's still been eating normally and I haven't noticed any change in her eating patterns. I have her in a tank with another, smaller toad, who I /think/ is also a girl. Her sides are very large and squishy, and she's become very lethargic. Help, what should I do?
I don't really have money to take her to the vet, as I'm in college and don't have a lot of money to spare. If possible, I'm looking to do something at home. Any advice will help!

First I would try a warm water soak.
Get a small plastic bin no bigger than 9X6 I use a glad ware container.
And a towel placed over the container to keep the water warm and to keep the
little one calm and give it a bit of privacy.

#1 you need to use dechlorinated tap water for the bath and the water level should be a little lower than the toads chin.
You want her to soak not swim.

Let her stay in the water for at least 10 to 20 min. now if she really starts to slosh around and gets really stressed then let her out.

If she hasn't had a BM in the water or later that day then the next day I would do the same bath as above but
add 2 to 3 drops of plain honey to the bath and have another bath prepared with just treated tap water to rinse off the honey.

    This should do the trick.
Note: honey is the best thing to use for many reasons, #1 The sugar will help her have a BM #2 it is anti bacterial
But if you don't have pure honey on hand you can use 1/4 tbs table sugar.

I would also start feeding regular earth worms or small night crawlers or night crawler pieces.
These will act as a laxative.

if your little one doesn't have a BM in the next 3 days I would take it to your local vet.

    Hope all comes out well

Thank you, I'll be trying this tonight! Hopefully it'll work, and I'll post back here in a few days and let you know.

I agree with the warm water soak advice; vet gave my toad an enema before but not sure how he did that! My dad also recently watched my toads and overfed them; what is it with dads? I was on here to find a toad babysitter near Akron OH for when I go out of town too bad you're in NY!
