Default Wooden vivarium - is it suitable?

I have a huge wooden vivarium which was previously used for a tortoise until I realised it was unsuitable for them, so now i'm stuck with an empty vivarium. I was wondering if it would be suitable for a dart frog, unsure of which kind, or would the humidity destroy it? I'm also going to add expanding foam to create a custom background.

    Thank you.

Posting a photo will help determine what is required; but if using for Darts, will need to seal up all exposed wood or they high humidity will rot it.
Remember to take care of the enclosure and it will take care of your frog !

It looks a lot like this: Name: 3ft18_2.jpg

What sealer should I use? Would the expanding foam still work if I seal it?

It's important to use a SEALER not a SEALANT. a sealant, like silicone, will only cover the surface of the wood, while a sealer will actually penetrate the wood and protect it. Marine epoxy is the best for that, but it is pricey. I have heard about others who have used lacquers, polyurethane and shellac.

I have a large wooden enclosure build planned and I am going the marine epoxy route. I don't mind the added expense to ensure it lasts a long time.
