hey
My Xenops laevis is floating on the surface, it's body looks like a baloon full of air (don't think it's a hydrops), it tries to dive, but it doesn't succeed. Couldn't find any information about this kind of disease online. Please help!
This sounds like hard bloat. Others on here know more about this than I do, but for now I would recommend that you keep her body moist. If she is inflated that much, I suspect part of her body will be out of the water. You don't want her skin to dry out, so splash or spritz some tank water on her back every so often. Also if you have anything else in the tank, you will want to isolate her. In order to help you we need to know your tank size, filtration system, tank inhabitants, water conditioners, and water parameters (ammonia/nitrates/pH etc).
How long has your frog been like this?
