I have an exo terra 24x18x24, I am setting up for my red eye as a vivarium, I will be starting it sometime next week. I have two florescent lights for it, are 2 8000K lights enough for the plants?
Funny, I just posted about my plant growth. I'm using just one of those GE "DayLight" 6500k bulbs. in my 12x12x18 and this thing refuses to stop growing. I love it. I think you'll be fine.
They're fish tank bulbs which is why I'm not sure if they will grow
I would look at the light's color charts and just make would it is not adding a ton of blue. If they show it lighting as almost or at white then it should work great.
Yes, those GE Reveal 6500 compact florescents are awesome for plants.
Is 10,000K too much for a vivarium?
it depends on the plants realy
