Hi frog forum! I've been keeping woodhouse's Toads for a while now, and I really like them. They spurred me into looking into other species. I've ways wanted a Cane Toad or two, but they are illegal in California for invasive species concerns, which is understandable. I then looked at Incilius (Bufo) Alvarius, the Sonoran Desert Toads, and settled on it despite implications involved in owning one, only to find they are considered an endangered species in California. Now all I can think of are Bufo Japonicus or the Cururu Toad. The Japanese Giant toad seems like a pain to aquire, and I found little info on acquiring a Cururu Toad. Anyone know anything or have other ideas on large toads? I've also been looking at smooth sided toads. Thanks in advance.
