Hey there,
I'm getting a 250L tank on wednesday next week, so until then they're in a 60L (approx) tank until then. I'll only upload the first picture I took, I'll upload more later. In this picture, they're chilling near the lamp, standing on some floating plants.
I've noticed that they spend a lot of time in this position, floating near the top. Often they'll swim downward and look for food on the substrate. There is a clump of hornwort so they're always around them. Is this behaviour normal? I thought that they would be more 'aquatic'
They're also enjoying the nightcrawlers I'm feeding them
-Xenophon and Erpeton are the names
Awesome pick up! I am leaning toward getting some of them in addition to Borealis this summer. I love that plain-jane bronze color and the fact that they are so small.
from what I have reading lately hanging out up top is a typical behaviour for them and causes them to become quite tame.
Nice babies.
And......more pics please, stop being stingy with those gems.
Here is a site I stumbled onto yesterday that has a cool section on Tropicalis and some pics. Pretty similar to what yours are doing.
the Tropical Clawed Frog
EDIT: I also found this outstanding article on them: http://www.tfhmagazine.com/details/a...awed-frogs.htm

Here is a fresh batch of photos, more tomorrow, of better quality.
(there is a goldfish in the tank, until I get my big tank.. I know.. I know, I don't like it either)
Plants in tank:
Java moss
Anubia
(Elodea)
Hornwort
Here are the pics:
1)Here is how they usually bask, they spend 70% of their time like this, either here or in the plants
2)This is the general set up of the tank, a preview of the plants
3) Here is the same froggy in 1) but from a bird's eye view
Wow, what a coincidence.
I bought those frogs from him, Colin is a great man and very kind. It was a pleasure to buy and support him
His website is: The Fish Hut
What did it run you to ship to Spain?
Great additions to your equally wonderful tank
