Right now I am using Eco-earth which I don't see as being very beneficial to the plants once so ever. Its basically just dirt w/o fertilizer or anything. What would be a good substrate to use that would be benefitial to the plants -OR- is there some kind of tablet or liquid you can get that would aid plants/ be beneficial? My plants are just looking boring right now, not much growth within a long period of time, no color.
EDIT: I am using exo terra 50w compact bulbs (2) in a canopy.
Fish Emulsion is one natural furtilizer you can look at. In any event I would use the very minimum amount if you choose that route. Remember your frogs will contribute to the natural organics available for plants to grow.

1.1.0 Dendrobates Lamasi 'Orange'
1.1.0 Dendrobates Ventrimaculatus 'Understory Line'

As always your mileage may vary!
I may or may not know what I'm talking about!
I usually mix in a little ACR, its low light plant soil. Like Michael said you only need a little, the frogs are constantly fertilizing the soil
