Well my 2 year old who was one of the unlucky owners of the sickly little Froggy the green tree frog is now the lucky owner of a new whites tree frog. This one is an adult already. I am a little concerned because one of his tank mates at the pet store had white spots all over him and he still hasnt ventured out of his carry box, but he looked healthy and had no spots. My son has yet to name him. But hopefully he will eat and be active and happy soon. My son was so excited, though he wont be able to play with the frog he really enjoys seeing them and helps at water changes with lots of hand washing.
Congratulations on your newest addition. Just be careful if one of his tankmates was sick he most certainly was exposed to the same thing. So just keep a good eye on him. Post some pictures when you get a chance.
I have him on glass instead of dirt right now because I am pretty sure he has an infection or irratation on his under side. Though since we just got him I dont know he may be a boy or a girl. I think he is really thin too. I am going to post pics as soon as my husband puts them on the computer from his new android.
Whites can have a natural pink tint to their underside....so it may be nothing. There is a disease called red leg but it is very red and looks like bad diaper rash. Keep us posted.
He wouldnt let me get a good underside pic and since we just got him I didnt want to stress him out.
